Straw Rainbow Basket

We have partnered up with ASIGE Advocacy for Social Inclusion and Girl's Education to create one off hand made striped straw baskets. The ASIGE programme helps empower women teaching them sustainable skills. We were introduced to them by one of our wonderful customers and immediately wanted to collaborate on something. Using our colours and their unbelievable skills we think they have 100% encapsulated the spirit of Jumper 1234 in straw!

Every purchase of an ASIGE basket contributes to important initiatives, such as providing reproductive health education for both adolescent boys and girls, providing sanitary pads for rural girls, enabling them to stay in school during menstruation. In 2023 alone, they distributed 2000 sanitary pads, making a tangible impact on the lives of young girls in their communities.

As each basket is hand woven they will all be slightly different and include the name of the lady who made your basket.

We will be donating 100% of the nett sales of the ASIGE baskets directly to these talented artisans, every purchase becoming a symbol of empowerment and support.

Care Instructions

Due to the nature of straw baskets they can sometimes misshape, to reshape your basket simply do the following. 

1. Dampen the basket inside and out with water where it seems affected.
2. Gently mold the basket with your hands, recreating its original form.
3. Allow it to air dry in a well-ventilated area, avoiding direct sunlight.
4. To maintain its shape during drying, consider placing newspaper inside.
